ETHIOPIA WASHED URAGA

PEACH / CITRUS / EARL GREY

 

In southern Ethiopia, coffee grows in the backyard of almost every home; most people who live here can call themselves coffee growers. And there are also many washing stations, places where farmers leave their coffee after picking. Uraga is one of them, where 7,000 producers leave their freshly picked coffee berries after picking. Here, the coffee has been peeled, fermented, washed and dried on raised drying beds after harvest and given a delicate and complex character.

 

We have roasted the coffee lightly, so that we get notes of bergamot, mandarin, peach and jasmine flowers. The coffee is good in most brewing methods: classic electric brewer, pour over, aeropress and chemex.
