SUMATRA BLACK HONEY

APPLE ACIDITY / FULL BODIED / SWEET

 

Farmers from 600 small family farms in the volcanic region of Kerinci - adjacent to Sumatra's largest national park - cultivate and refine this highly characteristic coffee. The coffee is dried after picking with all their surrounding sugar on raised beds, directly on the farms. The result is an unmistakable Honey where the slow fermentation really shows in the flavor of the coffee.


Here we find a syrupy fullness in the taste, which is balanced with an apple and very clear fruitiness.
